چکیده
The Garcinia genus belonging to the Clusiaceae family (Guttiferae) has been reported be a rich source of polyisoprenylated benzophenones, xanthones and biflavonoids with various biological activities. fagraeoides A.Chev is an evergreen hardwood tree found only in north provinces Viet Nam Guangxi province China. Its stem bark leaves have used Vietnamese traditional medicine for treatment malaria dermatitis diseases. In our continuing studies on chemical constituents activities from Garcinia, phytochemical fagraeoides’s collected Thua Thien Hue was investigated. Repeated chromatography steps over silica gel Sephadex LH-20 dichloromethane partition methanol extract led isolation five compounds including one benzophenone (isogarcinol (1)), two tetraoxygenated (rubraxanthone (2), a-mangostin (3)), ferulic acid (4), pyromeconic (5). Their structures were elucidated mainly by analysis their 1D, 2D NMR spectroscopy ESI-MS data, comparison data. absolute configuration isogarcinol (1) determined its experimental optical rotation data values stereoisomer. This first 1-5 fagraeoides.

Two new chemical constituents from the stem bark of Garcinia mangostana.
A detailed chemical study on the ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of the stem bark of Garcinia mangostana resulted in the successful isolation of one new prenylated xanthone, mangaxanthone B (1), one new benzophenone, mangaphenone (2), and two known xanthones, mangostanin (3) and mangostenol (4). The structures of these compounds were elucidated through analysis of their spectroscopic data o...
